Banksy

Banksy is among the artists, March 22 to 30, will be exhibited at Superstudio Più, simultaneously at MiArt. In the week of art (con) Temporary Art presents temporary galleries located in different locations in Zona Tortona, the most creative of Milan. Banksy is one of the leading members of Street Art, The Art of the street literally and public places, which manifests itself often illegally spray, stickers, stencils, video projections, sculptures, etc ... grew up in Bristol, Banksy has managed to conceal all these years, his true identity, even now that his fame has turned the entire planet. His work, in itself brilliant, often deeply satirical of strong political, ethical and religious, took the name of Guerrilla Art and are mainly performed with the technique of Stencil. Banksy started his career at the end of the eighties and his stencils have started to appear at Bristol, then London and finally in more capital Europee.Qui under the famous kiss of the policemen, in 2006, still preserved behind a glass case near the station train to Brighton, one of the few works of Banksy still intact.

Some other famous works are Sweep, which was present in the neighborhood of Camden Town, London (now the same wall was rimbiancata, I discovered with disappointment last year) and the scene in Pulp Fiction with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson version of "Banana" in the area of Soho.

Other masterpieces are this stencil in Pollard Row E2 (London) and its famous Rats wandering the streets of London.

Banksy is really brilliant, my favorite street artist, if you happen to move next week for a visit to the Zona Tortona Superstudio Piu let it come on!

Nicholas Di Genova

Nicholas Di Genova

I found it on "Illustration now vol.3", released recently in the library and I have at home a book "Die Young" 005 "published by Belio summer of 2008, both publications are outstanding and he is a talented artist Canadian that you absolutely must know. Nicholas di Genova, of Italian origin, born April 1, 1981 lives in his bizarre world, flooded with deformed animals derived from crosses biogenetic and actors in a apocalitico future. Nicholas sketches (especially the China) and its tables are very detailed, have a distinctive graphic style.

His obsession with youth had the graffiti and Japanese manga from here are his first born, fanstastiche creatures. Then, slowly everything became more precise and "scientific": the creatures in need of roots, have acquired a biological origin, any part of them is the result of crossbreeding animals studied and planned to work of art.

His art has traveled the world, and America has exhibited in Australia, New York, Singapore, London, Berlin, .... Cabbage Nicholas, I'll wait in Italy!

His style is strongly influenced by the world of comics, classic comics retina, brightly colored and expanded dramatically. In the golden years of American economic boom Lichtenstein and send an important message today with a symbolic representation of life and often ridiculed every day by easing into a comic phrases, sistuazioni, and characters, exposes his veiled criticism of society of the times. Sherlock Holmes

January 12th, 2010 by admin

Finally my friend Guy Ritchie (remember his films: "The Snatch" and "Lock and Stock," but forget "Swept Away" with his, thankfully ex-wife, Madonna) has brought honor and glory to the character of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with his new film: Scherlock Holmes. Knowing the literary character I would say that the interpretation of Robert Downey Jr. is fitting and the casting is excellent. The action slowed movements and close-ups are part of the unique style of Ritchie, the sets are magnificent. The titles of entry and closure have been entrusted to study graphic Prologue that has created a movie masterpiece of design. Here it is for you! What are you waiting to go see it!?!
