Until May 30 on display at the Milan Triennale Roy Lichtenstein, famous exponent of American Pop Art. His style is strongly influenced by the world of comics, the classic "Comics" screened, brightly colored and magnified out of proportion. In the golden years of American economic boom Lichtenstein sends an important message and the current through a symbolic representation of life and often ridiculed every day: a comic through the simplification of sentences, sistuazioni, and characters, exposes his veiled criticism of society of the times. The exhibition at the Triennale includes over one hundred works (from large canvases, numerous drawings, collages and sculptures), divided into thematic sections and includes his reproductions of famous works of Mondrian, Cezanne, Dali, Matisse and Picasso and Futurist series Surrealist and little known, and many of them on display for the first time.
